Deactivating a System User Code
Selecting the Deactivate User button on the System User Code view deactivates a system user (initial rep) code. As part of the deactivation process you are prompted to purge non-case related data that is related to the user.
The Deactivate User dialog will display after you select the Deactivate User button. You can select to purge Message Groups, Message Center Messages, Favorites, Report Processor Results, and Report Queue Entries. When you click the Update button, the data selected will be purged. The Cancel button allows you to close the dialog without deleting any data. This process allows you to deactivate and remove unnecessary data without causing errors in reporting or errors with case data.

Update Message Center
Field | Description |

Remove a user from groups | Deletes all references to the named user (specifically, their User Code) in all Message Center Message Groups. If this user created a group, that group is not deleted, since all Message Groups can be used by anyone and this way, users interested can still use the group created by this particular user. |
Delete user's messages | Deletes all references to the named user (specifically, their User Code) in all Message Center Message Groups. If this user created a group, that group is not deleted, since all Message Groups can be used by anyone and this way, users interested can still use the group created by this particular user. |
Update Favorites
Field | Description |

Copy user's favorites to | Allows you to enter the User ID to which you want to copy the favorites. This option also updates linked favorites. Linked favorites can only be copied once. If you do not delete the favorites, they can be copied additional times, but they are no longer linked to any other users. |
Include schedule entries | Copies any scheduled entries to the new User ID. |
Delete user's favorites | Deletes all favorites and favorite folders created or distributed to this user. |
Delete user's favorites schedule entries | Deletes any pending or repeating Report Queue entries submitted by this user. |
Delete user's scheduled favorite results | Deletes all entries in the Background Report Processor Results of reports submitted by this user. |
This action does delete the associated report files (.psr).
If you are deleting Favorites, you are prompted that linked favorites will be broken, and you are asked to confirm the deletion of favorites.
