Link Cases

The Link Case feature allows you to easily find related cases and link an existing case to an open case.

to Administrators: This feature must be enabled by the administrator. To configure this feature, access Case Categories and select any B code. Then, set the Type field to "Case ID Ref".

To find and link a related case:

  1. From an open case, find the case reference field and click the Search Related Cases button. The Search Case for Reference screen will display.

  2. Click the Search button. The Matching Cases section will display on the screen.

  3. From the list of matching cases, find the case you want to link your open case to. On the case row, you can do one of the following:

    • Click the Open Case button to open the case and view it before linking.

    • Click the Link Case button to link the case to your open case.

  4. After clicking the Link Case button, the case you opened previously will display. Verify the correct Case ID is displayed in the case reference field.

  5. Click Save. The cases are now linked.
