Resources

The Resources page is similar to a bulletin board. It is a way for supervisors to post announcements, tips, suggestions, reminders, etc. so that everyone using the system can see them. The newest items are displayed at the top of the list. The inactive resources are not displayed by default. You can change the default setting if you want to view all resources.

The Resources page is only accessible with the proper permissions.

to Administrators: Permissions are set up on the Security Roles page, in the ResourcePost role.

Resource posts will appear to agents on the Additional Resources widget. For more information, see Home Page Widgets Administration.

Viewing Resources

When you access the Resources page, a list of existing resources will display. Only active resources display by default. You can change the default to view all active and inactive resources.

To display all resources:

  1. From the Application Function Bar, select Resources. The Resources page will display a list of active resources.

  2. From the Function Banner, select the Display Inactive Resources check box.

  3. Click the Active column arrow to sort the table by Active and Inactive resources.

Resource Text Tab

When you select an existing resource or follow the steps below to add a new resource, the Resource Text tab will open. This tab allows you to add a new resource, change the information on an existing resource, and activate or inactivate a resource.

To add a resource:

  1. From the Application Function Bar, select Resources.

  2. From the Function Banner, click the Add Resource button. This opens the Resource Text tab.

  3. In the Title field, enter a title for the new resource. This is a required field.

  4. In the Start Date and End Date fields, set the dates using the Calendar button. These are required fields.

  5. Select the Active check box to immediately activate the resource. You can also activate a resource later.

  6. Use the large text box to add any notes, links, or comments to the resource.
    (info) Resources have a limit of 2000 characters.

  7. Click Save.

To edit a Resource:

  1. From the Application Function Bar, select Resources. The Resources page lists active resources.

  2. Click the  button next to the resource you want to edit. The resource will open in the Resource Text tab.

  3. Edit as needed.

  4. Click Save.

To remove a Resource:

  1. From the Application Function Bar, select Resources.

  2. Click the button next to the resource you want to make inactive. This opens the resource in the Resource Text tab.

  3. Clear the Active check box.

  4. Click Save. This button only displays after making the change. The Resource becomes inactive and does not display.

Resource Restrictions Tab

The Resource Restrictions tab allows you to restrict the resource information that displays on the Additional Resources widget. You can restrict resources by group and language.

To set up a Resource Restriction:

  1. When adding or editing a resource, select the Resource Restrictions tab.

  2. From the Category list panel on the left, select the icon next to the category. Choose from:

    • Configuration allows you to display the resource to members of certain groups. When this restriction is set up, only the selected group will see the resource in the Additional Resources widget.

    • Language allows you to configure the resource in a different language. When this restriction is set up, the Additional Resources widget will show resources in the selected language.

  3. Drag the category under the Category column on the page.

  4. In the Operator field, located in the Filter Criteria column, choose an operator:

    • = (equals) will only display resources where the specified category exactly matches the value in the Value field.

    • IN will match the set of specified values in the Value field. Separate items in the list with a semicolon.

  5. In the Value field, select the value to match.

  6. Click Save.

To remove a Resource Restriction:

  1. When adding or editing a resource, select the Resource Restrictions tab.

  2. From the Category column, select the Menu icon next to the category to remove.

  3. Drag the category to the Category list panel on the right side of the page.

  4. Click Save.
