Report Queue Maintenance
When favorites are scheduled for background processing, they must be assigned to a Report Queue. The available Report Queues are defined in System Setup.
To access the Report Queue Maintenance page:
In Administration, select System Setup > Reporting Configuration > Report Queue Maintenance.
To add or remove queues, follow the general procedure for Adding and Deleting Codes.
Report Queue Fields
The following fields are contained on the Report Queue definition:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Report Queue ID | This is the unique name that is given to the queue when it is added. It is the name that will be used when submitting favorites. |
Description | Enter a description for this report queue. It is for reference purposes only. |
Queue Security | This field can be used to limit the users who can submit favorites to this queue. For each of the options, a specific security function must be created (if it does not already exist). This function must then be added to the security role for users that should be allowed to submit favorites to this queue. The Allow Select option must be selected for the function after adding it to the role. For more information about security functions and roles, see Security Functions and Security Roles. The options work independently of each other. There is no hierarchy implied by the names. This gives you flexibility in setting up different sets of user permissions for different queues.
|
Display Sequence | When users are browsing for a queue while submitting a favorite, the queues will be listed in sorted order by Display Sequence. |
Only for Comp. ID | If you only want to allow this queue to be used for a specific company, enter the Company ID in this field. Leaving the field blank allows it to be used by any company. |
Added By | Displays the user code that added the queue definition. |
Date Added | Displays the date that the queue definition was created. |
Changed By | Displays the user code that last changed the queue definition. |
Date Changed | Displays the last date that the queue definition was changed. |
Processors Tab
Each Report Queue must have at least one Report Processor. This processor controls when and how information in the queue is processed.
While it is possible to have multiple Processors running against the same queue, we advise you only use one processor per queue.
To add a new Report Processor, click the New Processor button on the banner.
