Adding and Deleting Codes

The following are the general procedures for adding and deleting codes and folders throughout Company Setup, User and Security Setup, and System Setup.

Adding Codes

To add a new code:

  1. In the relevant application setup section (For details, see Application Setup Overview), go to the folder level at which you want to add the new code.

  2. Click the New Code button on the banner.

  3. In some cases, you will be prompted for the ID of the new code in a separate window. In other cases, a new, blank ID will be added to the list in the Function Bar. In either case, enter a unique value for the ID. The ID value cannot contain the following special characters: " % | ' * ; _ ~ \\. (These characters are also known as reserved characters.)
    (info) If you are prompted in a window, you can enter multiple codes at once by separating them with semicolons.

  1. Click the Save button on the banner.

Deleting Codes

When codes are no longer needed, it is strongly recommended that you consider making the codes inactive rather than deleting them. Deactivating a code will prevent a code from being used on any new data entered into the system, but it will preserve data for historical and reporting purposes.

To delete an existing code:

  1. In the relevant application setup section (For details, see Application Setup Overview), go to the folder that contains the code you want to delete.

  2. In the Function Bar, look in the Sub Codes section, and select the code that you want to delete.

  3. On the banner, select the Delete button. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.

  4. Type "DELETE" in the text box.

  5. Click Delete.

Deletions are just like all other changes made in Emplifi Agent in that they are not actually saved until you explicitly save the data via the Save button.
