Viewing Audit Trails

There are three ways to view audit trail information: Audit Trail Report, Audit Trail window, and Case Access Audit Trail window.

Use the Audit Trail Report

There is a report designed specifically to show audit trail information. It can display either case audit trails or application setup (for details, see Application Setup Overview) audit trails. For more information, see Audit Trail Report.

View Audit Trails from a Case

It is possible to instantly view audit trail information from the current case. Click Application Menu > Case Audit Trail to view the Audit Trail window. This displays all audit trail information for all fields on the case. It also includes available information regarding additions and deletions of case-related data (such as issues, letters, etc.).

View Case Access Audit Trail from a Case

The Case Access Audit Trail allows you to view a list users who have accessed the current case. Click Application Menu > Case Access Audit Trail to view the Case Access Audit Trail window. This window displays the user code and the date and time any user accessed the current case.

Using the Audit Trails feature requires permission to be added to the user role. The name of the associated security function is "CaseEditAuditTrail" "CanView." For information on how to administer security roles and functions, see Users and Security Overview.
