Audit Trail Report

The Audit Trail Report allows you to view tracked changes within the system. You can use it to view either case audit trails or maintenance audit trails.

Audit trails must be activated via a configuration setting before any data will be available on the Audit Trail Report. For information, see Audit Trails Administration Overview.

To access the Audit Trail Report:

  • From the Application Function Bar, navigate to Reports > Reports Admin > Administration Reports > Audit Trail Report.

Report Options

The following options are available for this report.

Option

Description

View As

Select the output type of the report. For more information, see Report Output Types.

Report Title

Type the title that you want to appear on the report results. The title displays at the top of each page of the report for the PDF, Word, and Excel formats.

App Setup Area

Select the screen or application area whose audit trails you want to view. For information on these options, see Audit Trails Administration Overview.

(info) The "Case" and "Address" options apply to Case audit trails, and the remaining options apply to Maintenance audit trails. To make sure you have the proper one activated, see Activating Audit Trails.

Otherwise, there will be no data for your report.

Time Frame

Select a time frame for the following date selection.

From Date / Thru

Enter the date range for the audit trails that you want to view.

Key Value 1 - 4

These allow you to subset the data when reporting against maintenance audit trails. To subset data on Case or Address audit trails, you should use the report filters.

The meaning of each key value will vary based on the Maintenance Screen selection. For information, see the Key Values section below.

Results Language

Select the results language for the report. For more information, see the Results Language section on page Reports Overview.

Time Zone

Select the time zone to use when processing the report. This indicates the time zone to use when using dates on filters and displaying dates.

By default, the dates will reflect the time zone of the agent.

For Category Dates, only the System Date Time is updated for the time zone (Type J), all the other Dates are shown as stored in the database.

Report Date Format

Select the format to use when displaying dates on the report. Choose from:

  • Blank or Use Date Format of Agent/System - first checks the Agent's date format (set in the User Options) and if not defined it uses the System date format (set in the System Parameters).

  • yyyy-MM-dd

  • dd-MMM-yyyy

  • dd/MM/yyyy

  • MM/dd/yyyy

Report Time Format

Select the format to use when displaying time on the report. Choose from:

  • Blank or Use Time Format of Agent/System - first checks the Agent's time format (set in the User Options) and if not defined it uses the System time format (set in the System Parameters).

  • Do not show Time

  • HH:mm:ss (24hr)

  • HH:mm (24hr)

  • hh:mmAM/PM

  • h:mmAM/PM

Report Filters

For this report, filters only apply when Address or Case is selected as the Maintenance Screen. For all other screens, you should use the key values.

Key Values

Depending on the screen on which you are reporting, you can enter a key value to act as a filter on the report. For example, when looking at audit trails for category codes, you may want to report on a specific category ID. So you would enter that category in the Key Value field.

You can also use the following wildcards as part of the key value: *, %, and _.
