Fulfillment
In Emplifi Agent, the term fulfillment is used to refer generically to the set of processes that are related to sending physical items to customers, including letters, emails, checks, coupons, gift certificates, new or replacement products, etc.
There are several different application setup areas, configuration settings, utilities, and reports that go in to making up the complete fulfillment system. Each of these areas are defined briefly below. For more information, click the links below or refer to the Related Topics link.
Standard Letters: A Standard Letter is a template for any type of correspondence that you want to send to a customer, either via postal mail or email. For more information, see Defining Standard Letters.
Standard Paragraphs: Each Standard Letter is comprised of one or more Standard Paragraphs. A paragraph is a template for some text that will appear in a letter. Every section of a letter is a paragraph, including address blocks, greetings, and signature lines. For more information, see Defining Standard Paragraphs.
Enclosures: Enclosures are any other physical items that you want to send to a customer, either with or without an accompanying letter. This could be almost anything, such as checks and coupons, gift certificates, replacement products, etc. For details about enclosures and checks and coupons, see Defining Enclosures, Processing Checks and Coupons.
Letter Proofing Utility: You have the option of determining whether letters must be "proofed" (reviewed and approved) before they can be sent out. The Letter Proofing Utility automates the review and approval process.
Case Review Utility: Case Review Utility allows you to set the default Proofed status for all letters of the case records being reviewed. This only impacts case letters that have not been sent. When you run the utility, the Results view will show all of the cases that meet the criteria. You can edit a case letter or change the Proofed status for each case.
Enclosure Approval Utility: Similar to the Letter Proofing utility, the Enclosure Approval Utility allows you to review and approve enclosures before they can be sent to a customer.
Fulfillment Batch Processing: A batch is a set of fulfillment items that need to be sent to customers. Letters, enclosures, labels and emails can all be included in a batch. For more information, see Fulfillment Batch Processing Overview.
