System Edit Locks
This utility can be used to clear locks on records that have been marked by editing. Usually these locks are cleared automatically when a user finishes working on an item. However, under certain circumstances (such as an abnormal shutdown), the locks may be left in place, making it impossible for other users to open or edit the item in question.
When the utility is opened, all records that are currently marked as locked for editing will be listed in the table, along with the name of the user who locked the record.
To access the System Edit Locks Utility:
From the Application Function Bar, select Utilities > Configuration Utilities > System Edit Locks.
To clear an edit lock:
Click the check mark next to the Edit Lock you want to clear.
Click the Unlock button in the banner.
A confirmation dialog will display. Click Unlock.
