File Maintenance Utility

The File Maintenance Utility provides Emplifi Agent administrators access to a select set of folders on the server to organize, upload, and download files. When more than 25 items are listed, the pagination banner will display which allows you to scroll through the items. For more information about pagination banner, see Application Setup Pagination.

The user must have the w_util_file_maintenance role function in order to access this utility.

The utility lists the select set of folders available. You can view the contents of any of the folders by clicking on the folder name.

To access the File Maintenance Utility:

  • From the Application Function Bar, select Utilities > Configuration Utilities > File Maintenance Utility.

The following buttons will display on the Function Banner. The information below the table provides details for performing the actions.

New Folder

This button will display on the banner after you select a primary folder. Clicking the button creates a new sub-folder within the current folder.

Rename Folder

This button will display on the banner after selecting a folder. It allows you to rename an existing sub-folder. If multiple files are selected, this button is hidden from the banner.

File Upload

Allows you to upload a file into a folder.

Delete File(s)

Allows you to delete sub-folders or files. This button displays when you select the check box next to a sub-folder or file.

Refresh

Allows you to refresh the list of files.

Adding a Sub-Folder

To add a new sub-folder:

  1. Select the folder where you want to add a sub-folder.

  2. Click the New Folder button and the New Folder window will display.

  3. In the Folder Name field, enter a name for the sub-folder.

  4. Click Create. The sub-folder is added to the list.

Renaming a Sub-Folder

To rename a sub-folder or file:

  1. Select the check box next to a folder that you want to rename.

  2. Click the Rename Folder button. The Rename Folder window will display.

  3. In the Folder Name field, enter a new name for the folder.

  4. Click Rename. The folder will display with the new name.

Downloading a File

To download a file:

  1. Click on the file you want to open.

  2. The file opens in a new tab.

Uploading a File

To upload a file:

  1. Open a folder.

  2. Click on the File Upload button on the banner.

Uploading HTML files that contain <script> tags is not permitted.

The list of files can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button on the banner.

Deleting a File or Sub-Folder

You may delete files or sub-folders located in the following folders:

  • Custom

  • Transfer

  • InfoCenter

  • Standard Letter

To delete:

  1. Open a folder.

  2. Select the check box next to the file name or sub-folder name.

  3. Click the Delete button on the banner. If you are deleting a sub-folder, one of the following will happen:

  • If the sub-folder is empty, a confirmation message will display. Type DELETE in the text box. Then, click the Delete button to permanently delete the folder.

  • If the sub-folder is not empty, a confirmation message will display. After typing DELETE in the text box and clicking the Delete button, a WARNING dialog window will state that the folder is not empty. Select individual folders or click the Select All button to select the folders you want to delete. Then, click the Delete button.

Deleting a sub-folder and its contents is permanent. The sub-folder and its contents cannot be restored.
