Enabling Single Line Address Lookup

Single Line Address Lookup allows an agent to type an address in a single field and the system validates the entry to display the correct address on the case. Since the address information is validated against a database or service, there is improved accuracy for the address entered on the case.

This capability requires a separate license key from one of the following supported vendors: Melissa Data, Loqate, or Google.

To enable Single Line Address Lookup:

  1. From the Application Function Bar, select Administration > Layout Editor.

  2. Open the CaseEditFullCallerEssential layout.

  3. Select the field you want to use for the address input. We recommend using the address1 : address1 field.

  4. On the right-side panel, select the Properties tab and click Show Advanced.

  5. In the Address Lookup field, select True.

  6. On the banner, click Save and regenerate the layout. For more information, see Generating a Layout.

  7. Then, from the Administration Bar, select Configuration Settings > [configuration name] > Postal Systems.

  8. Under Single Line Address Lookup, select the provider from the Provider drop-down list.

  9. Click Edit to enter the API Key. Then, click Test to verify your connection to the provider.

  10. Select Enable geolocation.

  11. On the banner, click Save.
